England v Croatia live stream, BBC, Sunday 13 June, 2pm BST

England will kick-start their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia at Wembley on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate’s side will play all of their group games on home soil, while the semi-finals and final will also be held in north London. That, together with the emergence of a talented squad, means England (opens in new tab) go into this competition as one of the favourites to triumph. Indeed, only France (opens in new tab) are more fancied by the bookmakers to be lifting the trophy aloft on July 11.

There is plenty of work to do before then, however, and an opening game against Croatia (opens in new tab) means England have not been afforded a straightforward start to Euro 2020 (opens in new tab). It was Croatia, of course, who ended the Three Lions’ World Cup dreams at the semi-final stage three years ago, and the chance to avenge that defeat this weekend provides the England squad with another source of motivation.

Southgate has employed three- and four-man backlines over the last few years, but he looks likely to opt for the former here. That would see England lining up in a 3-4-3 formation, with John Stones in the centre of the backline.

Jude Bellingham looks to have done enough to earn a starting spot alongside Declan Rice in midfield, with Mason Mount, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho, Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford all vying for the two supporting roles behind Harry Kane.

On paper, the Croatia team for Euro 2020 looks weaker than the one which reached the World Cup final. Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic have hung up their international boots, although the continued presence in the team of Luka Modric, Dejan Lovren and Ivan Perisic means the Vatreni will not be short of experience.

With their direct wingers Perisic and Ante Rebic, Croatia will probably look to exploit the space behind England’s two wing-backs. That could potentially draw out the outside centre-backs and free up Bruno Petkovic, who looks set to get the nod at centre-forward, inside the penalty area.

Kick-off is at 2pm BST and the game is being shown on BBC One/BBC iPlayer. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch an England v Croatia live stream from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for any Euro 2020 fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you still want to catch Harry Kane's in-swinging corners without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
